Old Stable Names
This is a list of old stable names you might find mentioned on this site or on the pedigree certificates you might receive from me. Most all of them listed are a group of friends who never participated in the larger hobby scene decades ago. I'd consider them a small club of fantasy equine fanatics that sometimes gathered together to customize various Breyer models into mostly Unicorns. They also PA'd their herds using each others' models.
I 'bumped' into one of them in the last few years via a Facebook group and we chatted a bit. She was completely shocked about the hobby. I asked her about a model I remember her having all those years ago and that got us discussing the fantasy stuff, touching base on parentage and not readily being able to find parents that had a 'lineage' or even finding parents. It was a good chat. I think it was two weeks later she messaged me with an OMG, you won't believe what I found today! I'm sending them to you, do with them what you want, you have my permission to use them, to create new models for them if you want and allow others to use them as parents. She asked me not to share more than stable names and first names as she believed none of them were still involved with any of that. She thanked me for reminding her of those days and it made her curious to see if she still had any photos of any of their creations which led her to dig out an old box to go through...which led to finding the IDs she shared. She was disappointed she no long had photos and didn't know why she'd not have stuffed at least a couple into that box along with the ID/pedigrees. I was shocked but I was thrilled to have these old IDs to use and share. You'll find them scattered throughout the Unicorn pages or as parents to my own IDs.
